One of the greatest things about living in New Mexico is the International Balloon Fiesta held right here in my home town of Albuquerque. I have been so many times over the years and it is an incredible experience every time. Nothing like a beautiful sky full of balloons.
Granted getting up at 4:30 this past Thursday morning wasnโ€™t sounding to great to me at the time, but it was absolutely worth it.
It was humid and raining all morning so I apologize for the flat frizzy hair.
Have a great week! Iโ€™d love to hear from you all and your friends about your favorite fall traditions ๐Ÿ™‚

Balloons in the early morning are always a good thing! Friends, burritos, and coffee always make it better. Your hair does not look flat or frizzy. Thanks for sharing!

I like your new layout on this blog! Also your pictures are just lovely…the balloon fiesta is so scenic. My favorite fall thing is harvest season…getting things from the garden and making fall food…like pumpkin scones! ๐Ÿ™‚

There are a ton of things l love about northern New Mexico, but I have never been to the balloon festival. It is on the list.

This looks like so much fun, they had a small version of this in California when I was little. There’s also a balloon race in Reno, Nevada every year around september, but I never seem to make it. You’re pictures make me want to definitely try harder to get out to it next fall!
