Living in a dorm, my interior design possibilities are very limited. The past few months I’ve done nothing but sit on Pinterest and just pin the day away daydreaming of beautiful interiors for the home I one day own. I have high hopes for my first apartment by my self, a touch of girly is always a good idea, right?
I absolutely love furniture so I was delighted when I came across Chairish online! It is an exclusive curator approved, online marketplace for vintage furniture. Not only was the furniture perfect, but the website was so fun to look at too, and that’s always a plus! I was specifically drawn to their chairs. I love bright pops of color, and some of the chairs I came across were exactly what I could imagine sitting in my future home.
I put some styles together below with some images I found online from Pinterest, hope you enjoy!

I immediately knew I wanted to style a room around this pink chair. With white details it was gorgeous!

These two chairs are both pretty wild, but I love cheetah print and the other blue chair was just as pretty. I thought touches of gold would work well with both chairs. 

These last two are polar opposites! The dark blue chair is so clean looking it’d work well with just about anything (including zebra stripes). The purple chair on the other hand was so bright and a little out there, but I love it SO much! I think styling them in white rooms would really brighten up a room.

Happy Thursday!

It’s been so cold recently and I’ve never wanted the spring weather more. My birthday is this Monday, and ever since I can remember, I’ve wanted a summer birthday. My childhood birthday parties consisted of bowling or anything indoor but I’ve always wanted some nice outdoor party. A girl can dream, right?

This year I’m hoping to go to a nice dinner with some friends, so dressing up is a must! I styled two looks that would be great for this kind of occasion, however they have a very summer-y feel to them (haha).

I decided to style these two looks around the two rings. The rings are from Invaluable, the world’s premiere online marketplace. Invaluable features all kinds of styles of rungs, watches, other jewelry, and antique collectibles. I especially love their ring collection. Rings are such a fun way to add flair to a look! All their pieces are beautiful and unique.

season decor: christmas…










With 5 days until Christmas, I decided I would finally show you my room decor! I decided to take it seriously this year since I knew I wouldn’t be home for most of winter break to appreciate the way my mom decorated our house. I wanted to truly feel the Christmas spirit now matter where I was.
I got most of my decorations at Hobby Lobby and Michael’s. Here and there a couple Target items popped in there.
More importantly I finally treated myself to the infamous Anthropologie mug! I have wanted one for so long. Rachel Parcell’s is what inspired me…
The last image on here is a shadow box I put together for my bathroom. There’s a few drawings of my own, some pictures from Pinterest and a holiday Lilly Pulitzer graphic. I am really happy with the way it came out. It added an extra pop to the bathroom. Who doesn’t love decorations?!

holiday happenings…






Finals are over and I’m happy to announce I successfully passed all my classes and I’m just a few weeks away from applying to business school. How crazy is that? This semester has been an insane one, I can’t even begin to describe the things that have happened but I stayed strong and made it through it all!

It’s been such a long time since I’ve made a blog post. With stress of finals taking over almost immediately I had time for nothing but studying! I’m glad to have time now to take a break and do the things I love.

Thanksgiving was a much needed break from the mess of school. I went home for the day to see my family. Dinner was delicious. My mom is an incredible cook. I thank my lucky stars she was so blessed in that department (haha). I was given the task of table decor and I was fairly happy with the way it turned out. I went for a lighter look but incorporating those Thanksgiving and wintery touches.

Holidays also call for a few sister pictures (and of course some of them were sister selfies). I love my little one Maddie, she’s graduating this year and I can’t quite grasp the reality of it all. I still remember the trouble we used to cause…

A couple of days ago during my intense finals studying my dad sent me a picture of the decor at my house. It looks amazing!! I’m so excited to go home and see how cozy it is. I’ll be posting the holiday decor I have in my dorm room currently soon, so look out for it 🙂

Living in a decently sized city, there’s multiple places to shop throughout the day. I’ve found myself particularly drawn to Anthropologie more recently. Their style is so classic and just so timeless. I love it, especially this season’s fall looks and finds.
Being as busy as I was this week (working everyday, programming, and babysitting here and there) I haven’t been into the actual store in so long. So online window shopping is my main source of entertainment for now.
I just wanted to share some of my favorites of the season so far. They’re all fairly easily wearable and so cute!

currently craving…

The small amounts of cool weather that has been gracing Albuquerque has me really craving all things fall. My new favorite style is rain boots. 
As I’ve said before, i love boots. I have never owned a pair of rain boots before and the pairs that Rachel Parcell, of Pink Peonies, and Emily Gemma, of The Sweetest Thing blog, are wearing have inspired me. I love the look of Hunter boots, but Joules comes in a close second place.

I love the look of Rachel Parcell’s red boots. They’re so bright and really make a statement. Even though there is rarely rain or snow in New Mexico, how nice would these boots be for the surprise storms?
My favorite cold weather style is boots and a sweater, so pairing together the red Hunters and a cute cardigan make my heart melt. Can’t forget that beautiful Kate Spade black quilted watch either.

September goals

With a new month, comes a new print in the Lilly Planner.
So it’s been a while. Blogging and posting take a lot of time and I hate the fact that I’ve had none! I miss it. I miss being creative and crafty, so unfortunately that’s one goal from last month I was not able to accomplish. 
Besides that, I am so proud to day that August was a very productive month for myself. I organized my room and my desk and I watched soooo much less Netflix. I also was on top of my homework and studying. I may only have been in class for two weeks but I’ve had a large amount of homework in every class and finished it days in advance. 
My favorite accomplishment of all is how healthy I’ve been. I went grocery shopping and I’ve been taking such good care of myself. I’ve been running and going to the gym every other day and I just feel so much better about myself. 
Now enough about last month, I want to get talking about the future. This month I’m planning

1. Be more involved around my resident hall
2. Continue to study hard!
3. Run even more
4. Clean up and organize documents and photos on my computer, iPad and phone (yet again)
5. Water color paint even more
6. Detail paint my white drawer shelf
7. Head to Goodwill with some old clothes

Move in at the beginning of the month was so stressful but I’m happy to say that I’ve befriended my wonderful suite mates and roommate. I’ve gotten to know a lot of my residents not only on my floor but throughout all four buildings. My classes are hard, but I am a hard worker and I don’t give up. I hope everyone had a great start to the new school year!

August Goals

It may be a week late, but happy August! and even more so, happy almost Friday!! Friday’s are my absolute favorite days, however this weekend will be anything but that. Why you ask? Tomorrow I will be completely moved out of my temporary room and into my permanent room and then Saturday and Sunday are move in. So that means for me a 48 hour work weekend. It may tire me out entirely, but I am truly looking forward to spending more time and getting to know my coworkers even better, especially with some of our management crew moving next month. So with school coming up and an even newer element of student residents added to my job, I figured I would make another month of goals.

August Goals
1. eat healthier
2. head to the gym more often
3. study LOTS
4. be even more organized
5. create more 
6. clean up and organize documents and pictures my computer, iPad, and phone (again)
7. get to know all of my residents (or try)
8. Watch less Netflix and tv

With a roommate and two suite mates (who I do not know at all) moving in, I figured I’d add being organized to the list again. 
I’m really looking forward to this year. It will be an entirely new experience and I am certainly up for the challenge.

July goals

Being that July is so close to being upon us, I thought I’d give monthly goals a try! July is bringing a lot of change to me. This week I’m moving into the dorms on campus to start my CA training. Not only that, but this week is Independence Day as well, and my family and I are taking a little road trip! We’re headed to Boulder, CO for a few days to relax and enjoy the holiday.
I figured setting some goals formally would help me stick to them and really work hard. I’m excited for July and what’s in store for me!

July Goals
Take more time to sit down and read
Watch less Netflix and tv
Clean up and organize documents and pictures my computer, iPad, and phone
Be more organized in general
Start running more again
Spend more time letting myself be insanely creative
Set a budget and SAVE
Do a social media free weekend
Try something/anything new
